Nightingale Walk 2008
The Nightingale walk is a sponsored walk - now in its 29th year. Last year the walk raised over £19,000. To date over
£390,000 has been raised for charity. Read more about last year's walk .
This year the walk returns on Staturday 24th May - the second Bank Holiday Saturday.
The walk has one aim – to raise as much money as possible for charity. Having said that it's a great fun day for all of those taking part.
Although the walk is based in the Nightingale Pub in Balham, everybody is welcome to join in - either as a walker or as a helper. You don't even need to be a drinker!
Walkers
To make the walk a success we need as many walkers as we cab get. We don't ask for a minumum level of sponsorship but the more your raise the better. We will be registering walkers from 30 March. So why not pop along to the Nightingale to register? Visit the walkers page to find out more.
Helpers
There are many ways in which you could help us. Could you chat to new customers in the pub and tell them about the walk? Perhaps you could join the dedicated team of cyclists who ride the route to support the walkers. If you are interested then please contact us .
Other ways to contribute
You can't take part in the walk or help out? That's no problem. You can still contribute. Perhaps you could sponsor one (or more) walkers. You could even ask your family and friends to sponsor a walker.
Buy a tee shirt! Better still buy several! come to the Nightingale on the day to support the walkers and perhaps buy them a couple of pints of "Ordinary".
